About Us
Nordic Tree Care Ltd is a locally owned and operated business that was founded in Canmore in 2023. We are one of the fastest growing tree services in the Bow Valley.
Our expansive equipment fleets allows us to take on any project of any size, including:

Meet the Team!
Fred Albrechtson
Arborist and owner Fred Albrechtson is the founder of Nordic Tree Care Ltd. His background in high level cross country ski racing has been crucial to the creation and development of the company.
He enjoys mountain biking, back country skiing, and nordic skiing during his down time – not that he gets much of that!
Hayden Daniels
Hayden Daniels is one of our climbing arborists, and technical fallers. He spent 10+ years working in Wildfire, including hazardous tree felling in Alberta and Sydney Australia! His amassed experience in the Wildfire industry has allowed him to develop a comprehensive understanding of wildfire behavior. When he’s not climbing trees, he’s out locating wildfire hot spots with his own infrared drone company or crushing climbing routes.
Evie Smyth
Evie Smyth is one of our arborist apprentices. She is currently mastering ground operation practices – including backing up a trailer like a pro – and taking all the necessary steps to achieve her goal of becoming a climbing arborist.
Evie enjoys the daily workout that the work provides and appreciates learning from her crewmates. Her commitment to NTC is proven by her aspirations to become a crew lead.
On her time off, she can be found rock climbing, trail running, skiing, and enjoying all the Bow Valley has to offer.
Liam Lemieux
Liam is our newest arborist apprentice; his background includes a variety of arborist-adjacent experience which, along with his great attitude and work ethic, has allowed him to join the team seamlessly.
With NTC, Liam aims to become a top notch arborist and help the company grow to its fullest potential by always giving 110%.
On weekends, he enjoys dirt biking, skiing, surfing, and pretty much anything else that gets him outside.
